Christian Fuchs is an Austrian former player who was part of the Leicester City 2015–16 Premier League winning squad. A left back, he joined the club on a free transfer in June 2015 after leaving Schalke 04. He did not have a regular spot under new manager Claudio Ranieri until October, making his first Premier League start against Norwich City. Fuchs made an appearance in Leicester's third round League Cup tie against West Ham, providing an assist for Andy King's extra time winner.

Following a 5–2 loss to Arsenal on 26 September, manager Claudio Ranieri inserted Fuchs into the defensive back four alongside Danny Simpson. In his first season, Leicester finished as champions. Fuchs led the league in successful tackles with 77 and finished second in interceptions with 98 during this period. He scored his first goal for Leicester against Crystal Palace on 21 October 2016, volleying home a corner-kick clearance by Christian Benteke.

On 3 June 2015, Premier League side Leicester City announced the signing of Fuchs. Although signed under previous manager Nigel Pearson, he found his place in the squad later that year. On Matchday 8, after being inserted into the lineup, Leicester City led the Premier League in clean sheets along with Arsenal with 15. Fuchs remained a key figure through contract extensions in October 2016 and May 2019, as well as a one-year extension triggered on 18 June 2020.
